AFTERMATH / CHANGING CULTURAL LANDSCAPE

Aftermath-Borut KrajncExhibited from 1st of June to 2nd of  September 2012 at the National Museum of Slovenia – Prešernova

We are proud to present the exhibition of contemporary photographers from the different republics of former Yugoslavia. The exhibition is part of the Photonic Moments Festival.

The group exhibition is a part of the broader regional project, which explores tendencies of socially engaged modern former Yugoslavian photography in the past twenty years

Common thread of the exhibition is a response of the artists on the social changes of the past decades. Aftermath serves as a metaphor for the consequences of the turbulent events which left trace in the environment and in the everyday of the people. Authors through their work process various effects of the transition. In their photographs we can observe the consequences of the bloody war of the 90s, the economic changes and with them connected changes of value system.

The group exhibition is first presented in Ljubljana, after that it will travel to its partner towns (Pordenone, Zagreb, Beograd, Sarajevo, Cetinje and Priština). The exhibition will travel around until the end of 2013.
