Description
Urn from Grave 13 in the urn cemetery at the Dvorišče SAZU site in
Ljubljana (13th century BC). Most of the graves from this cemetery
date between the 10th and 8th centuries BC, some are earlier. The
latter are frequently without grave goods. Like the spearhead with
paired ribs on the upper part of the socket from the River Ljubljanica (Fig. 237), the urn has close parallels in the north and northeast
of the Pannonian Plain. This is the origin of many of the influences reaching Slovenia in the earliest times of the Urnfield culture.
