Description

The inhabitants of the hilltop settlements mostly supplied themselves with food and other necessities. Iron implements, such as a ploughshare, suggest arable farming. Numerous spindle whorls show that the inhabitants spun their own yarn. Excavations also yielded numerous other tools and implements, mainly of iron, such as knives, augers, points, woodworking tools and whetstones. The finds of raw material and semi-finished products show that objects of bone and horn, primarily combs and spindle whorls, were also made in the settlement.
