The photographs by Ive Šoša from the underwater world of the
Adriatic, which is disappearing more and more quickly from day to day, are a
kind of testimony of time and the scenes that can almost no longer be recorded
in the Adriatic. Because, as the author says, we have simply killed the sea.
Its increasingly scarce inhabitants are ending their journey much too soon.
Through his photographs, their author wishes to remind us of the
diminishing lives and beauties beneath the surface of the water, and to encourage
each one of us to do as much as we can to preserve and help the Adriatic Sea to
survive.
With the exhibition and accompanying activities, the National Museum of Slovenia and the Slovenian Museum of Natural History are joining the endeavour to ensure the best environmental state of the Adriatic.
