All the data (texts, photographs, and other information) at the website of the National Museum of Slovenia are protected by the copyright-law and are the property of the National Museum of Slovenia. Commercial use of the contents of the website of the National Museum of Slovenia without previous written consent is strongly forbidden.

More information about the copyright or the order and reproduction of the photographs of the museum objects, which are stored by the National Museum of Slovenia:

1. Hiring or buying a photograph, a slide or a digital photograph does not contain permission for publication of it in any form. Copyright for all photographs remain in the hands of the National Museum of Slovenia.
   
   
2. For hiring or buying a photograph you must fill out a special form.
   
   
3. If you need a photograph for publication, you must ask for the right for publication. The National Museum of Slovenia will prepare an invoice regarding to the price-list. The right to publication depends on the conditions:
   
   a. Next to every reproduction it must be quoted »name and surname of the author, National Museum of Slovenia«, or just »National Museum of Slovenia« if the author is unknown.
   b. The reproductions must not be used for commercial means.
   c. If only a small part of the reproduction is published it must be specified as a »detail« in the subheading.
   d. In the case of color reproductions, the National Museum of Slovenia has a right to proofreading before the publication. If the reproduction is of poor quality, the National Museum of Slovenia holds the right not to allow its publication.
   e. According to our price-list, the appropriate compensation for the right for publication will be charged. Statutory copy of the publication in which the reproduction was published will be sent to the museum Library.
   f. Passages of all articles in which the reproduction was published, will be sent to the National Museum of Slovenia. In the case where the above is not possible, the user will send the exact quote in which the reproduction was published.
   
   
4. The permission for publication refers only to one issue in one language (if not stated differently). Granted rights are not exclusive. One must apply again for further use of the photograph.
   
   
5. Usage of the photographs of museum objects that are not owned by the National Museum of Slovenia is not allowed.
