Academic and professional career

  • Study of 1st cycle Undergraduate program History, at the Faculty of Arts of University of Ljubljana (2012–2016), graduated with the thesis "Brežice in the time of Vormärz" under the mentorship of Prof Irena Selišnik (Bachelor of Arts, History (UN))
  • Study of 2nd cycle Master-degree program History, at the Faculty of Arts of University of Ljubljana (2016–2020), defended the thesis "The citizens of Brežice in the period of Vormärz through lens of parish registers" under the mentorship of Prof Andrej Studen (Master of Arts, History (UN))
  • Doctoral studies in Humanities and Social Sciences, History, at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana (2020-), where she is preparing her dissertation entitled Material Culture of Carniolan Elites in the 17th Century under the supervision of Prof Lilijana Žnidaršič Golec and the co-mentorship of Dr Tomaž Lazar

Research work focusing primarily on history of the early modern period, with an emphasis on the study of the social position, intellectual and spiritual world of the upper classes in Carniola through the prism of their material culture.

Major research achievements

  • Research on the material and spiritual culture of the Carniolian nobility in the 17th century (scientific paper published in Kronika journal, 2023, paper in forthcoming collection of essays Janez Vajkard Valvasor - Kranjec po domovini, Evropejec po duhu in printing)
  • Research on the social and demographic profile of Brežice in the first half of the 19th century (Bachelor's and Master's theses)
