Description

Select stray finds of bronze knives from the Late Bronze Age. The knives with a centrally curved back from the River Ljubljanica (top three) are attributable to the Early Urnfield culture period (12th–11th centuries BC). The knife with an openwork handle from Studenec (Polje near Ljubljana) is later (9th century BC); it was found during the construction of the Southern Railway in the mid-19th century.
